A preset sleeve creates a vibration-resistant compression seal for the Ermeto female connection with a working pressure of up to 5,000 pounds per square inch (psi).A hexagonal section in the middle provides an increased bearing surface when adjusting the fitting with a wrench.The fitting is made of carbon steel for durability and resistance to rupture under high pressure and is zinc plated for resistance to corrosion. This flareless hex union fitting meets the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) J514 standards for quality assurance and is suitable for use in hydraulic applications such as in hydraulic cylinder lines.
